Here are Evelyn's 6 month stats:
Weight: 13 lbs 6.5 oz (5th %ile)
Length: 25 in (25th %ile)
Head circ: 43cm (95th %ile)
Still a peanut!! But she's doing fantastic! Evelyn has been eating rice cereal for 3 weeks now and LOVES it! She can eat a tablespoon or more 2x a day without too much fuss. She gets distracted a lot, so that's our major obstacle. Evelyn does NOT have my sweet tooth! She does not like apples or pears! She keeps pushing it all out of her mouth. Oh well. We're going to try avocados next and then butternut squash. Hopefully she'll like that more.
Other milestones: Evelyn can scootch herself backwards everywhere, rolls front to back and back to front, pass toys between her hands, pets Toby & Frankie, can "rake" toys to her, mimics opening her mouth when we talk to her, chooses specific toys, sleeps in her own room and in her crib (!), smiles at everyone, hugs her doll, plays for 20 mins in her exersaucer, and is ::thisclose:: to sitting on her own.
Yes, she is sleeping in her own room and crib for the past 2 weeks...but either Eric or I have slept on her floor. We need to buy a video monitor or web cam so that I feel better about her being in there all alone. For now, the twin air mattress is blown up, the ladybug nightlight is on, and the sound machine plays "rain" all night. It works for us!
